Limited to 10 Students
Class Price: $975 USD

Final Payment Due by March 31, 2024
Hello! My name is Anna Mellman of Little Sprouts Nursery. I have been to every Rose Show, and I'm excited to be teaching at the 2024 Rose Show. I won awards at the 2019 Rose Show, and I've been privileged to earn prototypes from many artists including Marita Winters, Jorja Pigott, Dawn Donofrio, Truborns, and EKK.
The class will take place on May 29, 2024 and May 30, 2024 from 7:30AM to 5PM. You must be in class promptly by 7:30AM to receive instruction and begin painting ASAP to be able to finish your baby by the end of the class. Lunch and drinks WILL NOT be provided, so be sure to bring your own. There will be a brief break for lunch.
***Note: Because of the advanced nature of this class and short amount of time available, you MUST be at least at an intermediate level of working with heat set paints and the reborning process. I WILL NOT accept beginners as there is not enough time to teach basic reborning skills in addition to ethnic painting skills.***
My class will be taught with the new IRHSP paints from Irresistables.
What you will learn in class:
*How to prep a blank kit in order to have a good base for painting
*Basic ethnic painting techniques
*Mixing ethnic paint palettes
*Paint blending techniques
*How to blush/crease/shade ethnic skin tones
You’ll receive supplies and the instructions necessary to achieve a high level of realism on your very own ethnic baby. The objective is for you to gain the confidence and skills to ensure you enjoy this creative and artistic adventure.
Materials Included with the Class:
*Blank 15” vinyl kit to work on, sculpted by Marita Winters. Students in the class will be among the first to reborn the kit.
*Sponges, brushes, and other implements needed for painting
*IRHSP heat set paint set
*Preemie diaper for your baby to wear
*Baby powder wafer to put inside the cloth body or diaper
*Polyfil and glass beads to weight and assemble your finished baby
What You Need to Bring to Class:
*Preemie outfit to put your finished baby in
*Tabletop work light, if desired
*Other tools you typically use while painting on your own
