Beginning Silicone Painting Class, by Melanie Math

Hi, my name is Melanie Math. Do you have the urge to paint silicone? Join us for a detailed class on what you’ll need to get started.

What you will learn in the course:

• Understanding silicone types and all that jargon
• Kit Prep do’s and don’ts
• Necessary tools and supplies
• Mixing your palette
• Painting Order
• Sealing, Matting and aftercare
• Videos, references and support groups

You’ll receive supplies and the instructions necessary to achieve a high level of realism on your very own silicone cuddle baby. The objective is for you to gain the confidence and skills that will insure you enjoy this creative and artistic adventure.

including all painting material:

• Preemie Silicone Head
• Reggie's Doll Pose n' Cuddle Body
• Paint Pallet
• Parts A&B Silicone
• Matting Powder
• Brushes, Wedges and implements necessary for this class.
• You’ll also be provided with both a written tutorial and video instructions along with a list of Reputable Suppliers and Sculptors.
• Below is the image of the baby that will be used in the class. You will only be painting the cuddle head version of this sculpt. No arms or legs will be provided for this class.

Each student will need to bring with them to the class:

• Heat Gun
• Magnifying Glass
• Lamp
• Mask (used while matting)

Lunch and drinks are not provided. There will be a break for lunch.
