2018 CLASS IS SOLD OUT.
2019 Class Info Coming Soon!
Hello! My name is Marita Winters and I first discovered clay and sculpting babies in the 1990’s. I had a young family at that time and found that I just did not have the time I needed to both sculpt and take care of my real babies, so I began to sculpt in earnest in 2003 when my children were older and didn’t need my entire attention.
I worked before they got up in the morning and after they went to bed at night. I have been sculpting nearly every day since, and have not tired of it. Since my children are all grown up now, I spend most of every day, from morning until night, in my studio sculpting or painting.
I am still as excited about each baby that pops out of that clay as I did when I began. How blessed I am to have a “job” that I love so much!
This class is a beginner level sculpting class.
This is a 2 day class
Weds July 11th, 2018
9:00am - 6:00 pm
Thursday July 12th, 2018

You can reserve your space in my class with a $175 non-refundable deposit. The final payment of $200 can be made in one or two payments which must be paid in full by July 1, 2018.
This class will be open first to those who have not sculpted a doll that has been made into vinyl or resin or silicone.
For more experienced sculptors who want to take a sculpting class, I will take a waiting list, and if there is any space after the beginners sign up, I will take these in the order I get them.
The class will be open to beginners only until March 1, 2018. At that time, I will be opening it to more experienced sculptors who are on my waiting list.
Please do NOT pay for the class through my Paypal button if you are an experienced sculptor. Please contact me privately to be on the waiting list. Thank you!
All supplies needed will be provided including:
Supplies to make your own armatures
Weighting materials to finish your baby.
We will be trying our best to get a 10-12" baby completed. The head and limbs will be sculpted, and a cloth body provided.
You will learn: How to build your own inexpensive armatures, as well as learn where you can purchase armatures that are pre-made, how to get the correct head shape for a baby, how to sculpt different expressions, how to figure correct proportions, and how to sculpt limbs, hand and feet. Hopefully we will be able to finish our babies and assemble them.
